Privacy Policy

Who this applies to

This policy covers Riff Metronome, a metronome and drum machine made by OnlyAI. It applies to the website at metronome.onlyai.ch and to the Riff Metronome apps for iOS and Android (app ID ch.onlyai.metronome).

What we do not collect

• There are no accounts and no sign-in. You never give us a name, an email address or a password.
• There are no ads.
• There are no analytics or tracking tools in the app, and no cookies.
• The app loads no third-party scripts or content while you use it.

The app does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

What stays on your device

To remember your choices between visits, the app saves a few things in your device's own storage:

• Settings such as tempo, volumes, drum kit and click options, and patterns you save. These are kept in the browser's localStorage.
• Sounds you record or upload under My sounds. These are kept in the browser's IndexedDB.

All of this stays on your device. It is never uploaded to OnlyAI or to anyone else, and we cannot see it.

You can delete a saved pattern or a sound inside the app. Clearing the site data for metronome.onlyai.ch in your browser, or uninstalling the iOS or Android app, removes everything the app has stored.

Microphone

The app asks for microphone access only so that you can record your own sound under My sounds. The microphone is on only while you are recording, which ends when you press stop or after 5 seconds. The recording is trimmed and leveled on your device and saved on your device. The audio is never sent anywhere.

You can say no, or turn the permission off at any time in your browser or phone settings. Everything else in the app works without the microphone.

Files you add or export

Audio files you choose to add are read on your device and copied into the app's own storage. Importing a pattern file reads it on your device the same way.

Exporting a pattern creates a small JSON file. The app hands it to your browser's download or your phone's share sheet. Where it goes after that is your choice. The app does not send it anywhere.

The website: offline cache and server logs

Offline cache. The website uses a service worker to save the app's own files in your browser, so it can open and play without a connection. The cache holds the app's files only, and no personal data.

Server logs. The website is served by a web server operated by OnlyAI, behind a shared proxy. Like most web servers, it keeps standard access logs: your IP address, the time of the request, the address that was requested and your browser's user agent. We keep these logs for security and for running the service, and only for a limited time. No other data is collected.

The iOS and Android apps include all their files and sounds. They work without an internet connection and send no data to OnlyAI.

Third parties and links

The app contains no advertising, analytics or other third-party code that could send data about you to anyone else. The credits at the bottom of the app link to other websites (for the drum sample sources and licenses). If you open one of those links, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Children

Riff Metronome collects no personal data from anyone, including children. It has no accounts, no ads and no analytics.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date at the top.
